on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Uvita is a rural village located 18 km south of Dominical  incorporating the seaside community of Bahia, and Marina Ballena National Marine Park. The area offers low impact tourism and a chance to view  an abundance of wildlife, beautiful mountains, undisturbed forests, rivers, waterfalls  and beaches.

This hotel is within walking distance of  the bus stop  and it's about  half an hours walk to the beach at Bahia or a 20-minute walk to the waterfall with large swimming hole. It  is 5 years old on one-half acre with the owner's home, a small rustic wooden cabin, 10 rooms,  gardens in the covered courtyard with hammocks and the bar/restaurant. Originally catering to the backpacker and budget traveler, en route to Dominical or Quepos.  Now, with 45 beds the new rooms with private baths and air conditioning are attracting family and destination tourists.
