We are located on a rural dirt road with scenery so fantastic, local ATV tours charge $95 to experience this “adventure”. You can appreciate the same scenic beauty during the 40-minute bus ride from Quepos for only a dollar. (My Daddy always said: Sell the sizzle.) Charles McKenna, enjoyed the experience while biking from the Arctic Circle to Tierra del Fuego. He says: "You can relax and enjoy 7 acres listening to the sounds of nature while those tourists return to noisy overcrowded hotels in smelly Quepos". Enjoy nature's own aromatherapy; nightly Ylang Ylang known as the Chanel #5 tree; and if you are lucky you'll be intoxicated by the fragrance of Night Blooming Jasmine. Que Rico! The Londres Bus leaves from the Quepos Mercado. RECOMMENDED: The 2:30 SABALO leaves from the CURB (not a queue) direct to Londres, costs a dollar. It is the quickest bus (40 minutes) arriving before dark. The remaing buses are about 60 cents (300 colones) to LONDRES: 07:00*; 09:00, Noon; (up to 75 minutes). Then 2:30; 4:00 pm and 6:00pm* (generally 40 minutes) (*except Sundays). NO service on Good Friday. Or a 20-25 minute taxi ride, around $15.00. Simply tell the driver Finca Amanecer--(Londres ABAJO) 150 meters despues el Puente. We are 150 meters after the London Bridge the first gate on the right. Airport pick-up from the Quepos airport is available around $15.00- $20.00 per trip.
Driving from Quepos: At PALI, go east, about 4 km, towards the Airport, do NOT turn at the gas station. Go straight, 10.5 Km. thru Naranjito, keep right at the fork in the road, cross the London
Driving from Jaco or San Jose: follow the signs to Jaco or Si Como No Hotel. To avoid Quepos, after the last bridge, keep left at fork in the road with signs for Dominical and the airport, it is a dirt road. At the gas station, turn LEFTand go 10.5 km thru Naranjito, keep right at the fork in the road, cross the London Bridge go 100 meters, on the right look for the holiday lights at night or our sign during the day. Call ahead for good pizza to go in Naranjito at Pizza Rica 779-1515..
PLEASE NOTE: THE "SJO" AIRPORT is actually in Alajuela, let me know if you'd like Hostel recommendations in Alajuela. Buses from the airport to San Jose or Alajuela are 75 cents.
DRIVING From the SJO airport, (near Hampton Inn) I can arrange a shuttle bus a to Quepos for $29.00 pp.
BUSES From San Jose: At the Coca Cola bus station this is a bad part of town, take a DIRECTO Quepos bus: 06:00; Noon; 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Buy your ticket (about $5) inside the Mercado, buy in advance if you can, or you may have to stand. Get off in Quepos at the "Mercado", the terminal..
BUSES From Quepos: Londres Buses leave the Mercado at 04:30 am; 07:00*; 09:00; Noon; 4:00 & 6:00* *except Sunday, for under 50 cents (US) or a 20 minute taxi ride for under $10.00. Be sure to ask the bus driver LONDRES ABAJO? as 3 buses will have “Londres-Villa Nueva” painted on the front windows, they will generally let you off right at our gate if you simply tell them Finca Amanecer.
NEW DIRECT SERVICE Quepos-Londres-Sabalo leaves the mercado at 2:30pm. Leaves Sabalo at 05:30 and leaves Londres about 06:15 and arrives in Quepos 7:00 am. Plan to que up at least 15 minutes for any of these buses. Follow our Ginger lined path another 100 meters.
From Uvita: North bound buses leave at 05:00 am and 1:00 pm* *running up to 30 minutes late these day.
From Dominical: North bound buses leave at 5:45am; 8:00 am; 1:00pm, 2:30pm.
From Matapalo: North Bound 6:15am; 9:00am; 12:15 pm; 2:00pm; 3:30pm.
From Uvita, Matapalo, or Domical: if the buses are running late and you want to make the Londres connection ask the driver to let you off at the Bomba, and wait under the shade tree for a bus. You can generally catch a ride for about 500 colones from any car heading htis way. Last resort call me at 779-1123 from the payphone at the Bomba. Taxi $10.00.
From Puntarenas: South bound buses leave at 5:00am; 11:00 am; 2:30pm; and 4:30pm.
From Jaco: The Puntarenas bus will pass about an hour to an hour and a half after the above times. Or the San Jose INdirecto, collectiva.
